EMX Alerts and Policies

EMX enables users to receive notifications when certain things happen. 

Setting Alerts from the Power Manager App

If you are using the Power Manager companion application (which is tailored to monitor data center energy usage), you can use Power Manager to define alerts, policies and the associated notification lists. When events occur, EMX is used to show the status.

Setting Alerts through EMX

You can also create alerts within EMX itself. Use this option if you don't use Power Manager. Power Manager users may also want to create native EMX alerts that notify if nodes have not been heard from (this is a condition that Power Manager alerts can't cover).
