Firmware Release Identification
All Packet Power monitoring devices use a common firmware release identification system. Every Release ID consists of of two parts: a Firmware Image number and a Firmware Version number. A Firmware Image number denotes a specific hardware product and a Firmware Version number denotes sequentially increasing firmware revisions for that product.
Example: Release ID 5.38 denotes Firmware Image = 5 and Firmware Version = 38.
Only even (2, 4, 6 etc.) firmware versions are released.
Identifying Your Device
The easiest way to identify your device is to access its current firmware on the Ethernet Gateway’s Monitoring Devices table. It is accessible via the Ethernet Gateway’s web console. If you are using the EMX Monitoring Software, the device firmware for each monitoring device is also accessible there.
