Current sensor installation

Current sensors are responsible for monitoring individual load-carrying wires within the monitored system.

Current sensor components

The current sensing system consists of current sensors, connecting harnesses and sensor interface modules:

Current sensor installation

The HDPM system supports spilt core and Rogowski coil current sensors. The sensor should be placed on the monitored wire in the correct orientation, with the arrow pointing in the direction of energy flow (from the source to the load) and/or the LOAD label facing the direction of the load:

Current sensor connections

Once installed, current sensors are connected to corresponding sensor interface modules via sensor harnesses. The pole number on the harness should match the pole number of the wire the sensor has been placed on.
