User Access Management

Access to User Access Management requires the appropriate management roles.
If you do not see this feature or cannot perform certain actions, it may be due to your current permission level. Please contact your Packet Power representative to discuss access options or potential system upgrades.

The User Access Management Feature shows a list of all your Users Access assignments (The User, the account, and the role that user has for that account assignment). You also have the ability to add, delete and edit User Access Assignments. The User Access Management page can be found on the navigation menu under Management → User Access Management.

Grey colored rows signify view-only rows and actions are not available on these User Access Assignments. A row is view-only when you only have management view permissions for that account or it is your own user account (as you cannot edit your own roles and assignments). Example: in the image below the manager only has view permissions for the account “Manager Test West”.

Assign User to Accounts

Adding a new user access assignment will assign the user to the accounts selected with the roles selected. (Roles are sets of permissions, more information on Roles here).

  • Click on the “Actions” drop down and select “Add User Access”.

  • Select the user you want to assign access to.

  • Select the accounts you want to assign this user to.

  • Select the roles you want the user to have for this account.

  • Click “Add”.

Edit a Users Access

You are able to edit a users access assignment by editing its roles (permission sets) for that account assignment. This will change what permissions that user has in that account based on the roles permissions.

  • Select a row (User access assignment).

  • Click on the “Actions” drop down and select “Edit Roles”.

  • Select what roles you would like this user to have for this account.

  • Click “Save”.

Unassign User from Account

Deleting a users access will unassign the user from that account (they will no longer have access to the account). This does not delete the user or its other user access assignments, only revokes a users access to that account.

  • Select a row (User Access Assignment).

  • Click on the “Actions” drop down and select “Delete User Access”.

  • Click “OK” to confirm the deletion.
